With all the cancellations and closings that abound these days, it has led most of us to a prodigious amount of time off. But, what to do with it all?  The RSV has just the ticket to enliven even the darkest of days.

The RSV proudly announces a Reticule competition. Yes, you heard us correctly.  Why spend your idle hours in monotony and woe, when you could be creating something fabulous to put haughty Mrs. Elton in her place at the next RSV event? Or be the recipient of more adoration than Jane Fairfax over your winning design?

Now gentle readers, we have decided not just go blindly into the night, but have chosen a theme: Hibernation, and what it means to you. Do you curl up like a squirrel in a tree?  Nestle into your comfy bed with a book?  Go for a long walk down a country road for solace?  The choice is yours.

The size, shape, fabric and design are totally up to you.  Go wild, be bold!

But, you say, why should I bother with this trifling matter?  Why, because our prizes include choice of these beautiful 18-19th century prints to brighten up your lonely cave, um, we mean home.  There will not only be the Grand Prize winner, but 2nd and 3rd prizes as well. Grand prize winner has first choice of the prizes.

To enter simply create your objet d’art and send up to three photos as well as an explanation of what hibernation, and your design, means to you. List any fabrics and trims used to create your designs. All entries should be mailed to: info@varegency.org by May 1, 2020.   The winner will be chosen by voting for one’s favorite (or two or three) designs.  Notification of when voting opens will be announced on our web site and Facebook.
