About this event

Join us as we celebrate our most beloved authoress’ special day in style.  Participants are invited to send birthday packages to a fellow Regency lover in celebration of the season and friendship.  Once packages are sent we shall gather together via Zoom on Sunday, December 7, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. to open them up, share a cup a tea and chat. This program is open to everyone. 

 

Your Birthday Package should include:

  • A sweet treat. This can be candy, a commercially made baked good that will last a few weeks or even some honey. Just remember NO NUTS of any kind please.
  • A book marker- purchased or handmade
  • A package of tea bags (flavor of your choice)
  • A handmade pocket or workbag. Gentlemen are also invited to participate by creating a cravat (unless you’d like to make a pocket or workbag then go for it!)

 

The choice of item and decoration is up to you.  Feel free to use a fancy fabric, embroidery, tatting, netting, inking….whatever!  Be creative! Make it with love and know it will be loved in return.


The name and address of your buddy will be sent to three weeks prior to the event.  Packages need to be mailed by NO LATER than Wednesday, November 19, 2025. We also respectfully ask for serious participants only as we do not wish for anyone to not get a birthday package.  There are also NO REFUNDS.

Please remember DO NOT open your package upon receipt but do cut open the box or package. If you find you cannot make it the Zoom program we ask that you let us know and ask that you send a personal thanks to your gift giving buddy.
