Come celebrate at our annual Victory Ball with friends. This year we will be hosting a Fancy Dress Masquerade, on Saturday, October 24, 2026 at the Country Club of Petersburg, Petersburg, VA.
So, what is a Fancy Dress Masquerade? It is the equivalent to a costume ball. What does that mean? You may not only come as yourself but a cat, a bat, the sun and the moon, maybe even a tree! Your ensemble can be as simple as a pair of tiger ears to an elaborate Roman Centurion in armor. Whatever strikes your fancy. It need not be much, in fact you need not wear the extra at all. Men are of course dashing in Regimentals so why not come in that? Black masks will be available at check in for those that wish to partake. Again, Period attire AND Fancy Dress adornments will be greatly admired but not required. Please feel free to wear appropriate evening wear. Just remember, we don’t care what you wear, just don’t show up naked.
You need not be a member of the RSV to attend but registration in advance is required. Your ticket includes admission, dessert and practice session the day of the ball. An optional buffet dinner prior to the event is also available at an additional cost. See below for menu and options. NOTE- YOU MUST SIGN UP FOR THE BUFFET AS A SEPERATE EVENT. IT IS NO LONGER INCLUDED WITH BALL REGISTRATION.
Dessert will be served midway through the ball. There will be a cash bar for those wishing for a tipple. We also shall be having our fundraising raffle full of wonderful prizes to choose from. For information about dinner please go to:
BUFFET DINNER FOR Victory Ball-Fancy Dress Masquerade - 10/24/2026
Ball Schedule:
12:00PM - "Crash Course" dance practice (optional) - Our dancing master will be on hand to offer this last minute review of the dances we'll be doing at the ball. The first half hour of the practice will be an introductory course on the basics of English Country Dancing. More experienced dancers can join us at 12:30pm. The course will last until approximately 3PM. The crash course is included in your ticket price.
5:30PM -Ball Buffet (optional) - Join us for a plated dinner immediately prior to the event. There is an additional fee for the dinner and participants must register for this dinner prior to the registration deadline of October 1, 2026.
6:30PM - Doors open for guests who purchased tickets for the ball only- No at the door tickets.
7:00PM – Fancy Dress Ball Masquerade opens
We have not been successful in obtaining a block of hotel rooms at a discounted rate at this time. If we are able to we will send our an email with more information.
