There's no need to feel alone in your fascination with the 19th century!  No matter what aspect of the period's history interests you or how long the years between 1790-1820 have captured your attention, the Regency Society of Virginia is eager to welcome you to become a part of our community of history enthusiasts.

Membership is just $15/year for individuals over 18 and $25/year for families (couples/parents and their dependent children residing in the same household).  There is also an online-only Associate Membership ($5/year) available.  (Click here to compare memberships.)  Your membership is good for one year from the date that you join.

The only qualification for membership in the Regency Society of Virginia (RSV) is that you have a fascination with the years between 1790-1820.  We strive to have a mix of events sure to pique the interest of any Regency-phile and our members have an extra opportunity to enjoy themselves with exclusive member events from time to time.

The RSV has fostered relationships with numerous historic and educational sites and organizations throughout the Commonwealth and we often partner with them to bring the history of the early 19th century alive for the public.  Our members have volunteered countless hours participating in programming that allows them to share their passion for the era with others.  Members also directly impact our organization by having voting privileges on RSV business and elections.

Not only do our members have the chance to meet like-minded people at our events, but they can connect between gatherings through discussions on our members’ only forum or exchange books, clothing, or accessories in our Classified Ads.  There’s even a smartphone app available so that members can register and update their profiles on the go.

With discounts to online and in-person events, our members can avail themselves of plenty of opportunities to increase their knowledge of the early 19th century.  Whether that means getting hands-on experience with a period skill at a workshop, hearing from an expert at a lecture, or engaging in a discussion about a Regency era topic, RSV members are constantly expanding what they know about this incredible time.
