Napoleonic Encampment at Endview Plantation
Registration is recommended
The Brigade Napoleon has most graciously invited members of the Regency Society of Virginia to participate in their living history encampment at Endview Plantation. This one-day event will offer participants the opportunity to interact with the public, view a demonstration of military tactics of the period, and even take part in a dance at the end of the day.
The Regency Society of Virginia will have a shelter available as a "base of operations" for our members and friends and will be discussing civilian life during the period. Demonstrations of historically appropriate trades, crafts, and activities are welcome. (Those who are not comfortable talking about the social history of the era will be invited to learn a few period games so that they can teach them to visiting children and their families.)
There is no charge to participate but historically correct period attire is necessary for volunteers. (You are, of course, welcome to attend in modern clothing, however, you will be responsible for paying the admission fee for Endview to access the event.)
