Our latest blog post discusses a subject that many of us are primed to indulge in: tourism!  While tourism itself wasn't a new thing (the 18th century established the "Grand Tour" of Europe as a rite of passage for most British aristocrats), one can see the seeds of the modern tourism industry in post-Waterloo visitation. Two hundred and six years after the fact, we take a look back at who the very earliest visitors to the site of the battle at Waterloo were and what sorts of things they saw and did while there.
