Finally! An event where we can all wear our outdoor attire. Join us as we walk along the canal in the Great Dismal Swamp.

Mr. Steplively is looking for a Few Good Ladies! (And Gentlemen are welcome too!) Inspired by last year’s success, Mr. Steplively is undertaking the mounting of a Valentine’s Ball on February 14, 2026, at the Petersburg Country Club. Volunteers are wanted to aid with multiple aspects of the event, including decoration, registration and helping to coordinate repast. Admission benefits may be available to volunteers.

There are also certain items and materials that will be welcomed as donations, including those related to refreshments, decorations and other sundries.

Join us for a tour of Meadow Farm Museum at Crump Park in Henrico County VA. We shall be touring the historic 1810 farmhouse as well as the Parsons Community Center, named for the family of enslaved workers associated with the Sheppard family from 1809 to 1939.

RSV member Heather Hufton will guide you through the process of sewing and decorating a reticule. You will receive several of her original reticule patterns she has developed over the years through personal study of originals (and a lot of trial and error!)

We are hard at work finalizing plans for a full day of fun in Charles City County. Registration and more information will be available in November 2025!

Join us for an evening lecture with Candice Hern as she presents What A Lady Carried in her Reticule in the Time of Jane Austen. This presentation will be held via Zoom and is open to everyone.
