Hairstyles of the late 18th and early 19th centuries changed rapidly from year to year. How do you identify what's going on and when it would be appropriate for your ensemble? Training your eye to understanding key "trends" for specific years is a great skill to learn to aid in your research and impression — but learning how to replicate such styles is another skill entirely. In this presentation, Amber Mendenhall, owner of Virgil's Fine Goods and the Lady of the Wilderness blog, will talk you through Regency era fads and how to break them down in order to replicate them
yourself. Amber will demonstrate some ways to achieve curls with both period and modern tools, as well as some styling tips to get a secure and accurate looking hairdo using modern products.
Both RSV Members and non-members are welcome to attend this online event but registration is required by May 26, 2021. The cost is $15/members and $18/non-members. Get a cup of tea and let your hair down as we discuss this fun subject!
