About this event

Bibliophiles, rejoice!  The Regency Society of Virginia cordially invites you to join our book club.   Our Tuesday evening group will feature a variety of titles, either from or about the early 19th century.  All are welcome to participate regardless of membership status with the RSV, but you must register in order to get the login credentials to join us on Zoom for our discussion.

While reading is, of course, encouraged to enhance the discussion, if you don't have an opportunity to complete the reading, you are still most welcome to listen in.

This session will feature: The Black Count by Tom Reiss

Get to know the amazing story of a man of African descent who rose to be a general in Napoleon's army and who was very likely the inspiration behind Alexandre Dumas' (his son's) creation, The Count of Monte Cristo.
